There are some new shocking results in the obesity study. Some are very obvious like heart disease but the numbers are very scary. By 2020 people age 35 for males 37% will be obese and 44% for females. Not only overweight but obese. By 2035 there will be 100,000 extra cases of heart disease. The study says that if a child is obese at 7 becoming not obese by the age of 13 will greatly decrease the risk of heart disease. They said that is kind of a sweet spot to get away. This is very scary but also it kind of makes me angry. yes lots of people are just heavier set but i do think most people can do something about it if they wanted to!

Recent studies are simply shocking! It shows that many peoples christmas are made miserable by yup you guessed it the christmas tree! It showed that dust collects on all of the ornaments for the tree as they are packed away and cause many allergy problems. Plus it showed that 5 times as much mold would build up in the house during this. This is bad news for me becasue i am very allergic to both dust and mold and we sure do have a live treee!

There is a type of cancer that is very deadly for children. Only 30 percent survive it. There is a type of medicine which helps keep it from coming back but it is not as affective as it could be due to non proper funding. A group of parents of kids with this type of cancer are banding together. They are baking 96000 cookies to raise money to fund the new antibiotic. I think this is a very inspiring story, and i hope this goes somehwere big!

There was a shooting threat at Loyola Marymount University. The student posted it on juicycampus.com. This is the second threat for a los angeles shooting in the last week. This is also right after the mall shootings in Omaha, Nebraska And the church shootings  in colorado.  This is very scary! It makes you wonder if the shootings in omaha could have fueled all of this. I guess you could never really know unless someone stated it. There have been so many shootings lately and like i said in another blog it really makes you wonder what our world is coming  to.

Two Small Planes crash over the everglades. They have said that no one survived. The place where the planes crashed is in water and is only accesible by air boat. The planes have been confirmed beneath the water. There are fire departments searching by the air boat but can not look too long because it gets dark early at the swamps. The thing i don't understand is the second plane did not have a flight plan so it is hard to find out information. I am not sure how this happens you would think they would have to have some kind of flight plan before they fly.
