A bill in congress is trying to pass the law saying that the yare going to eliminate slot machines overseas  because it is mostly soldiers that are using them.  The bill was motivated by gambling addicted slodier's suicide.  The slot machines are bring in $130 million year to help pay for recreation.  With the machines installed at the bases it is very easy for someone to grow a need to want to play it alot of the time.  The military exploited husband didn't help says the soldier's widow.  In 2005 she said that her husband spent over 20,000 dollars at a slot machine and got sent to AWOL they just found hin sitting in front of another one.  This is blog entry 8/9

Celine Dion has taken her final bow at Caesats Palace.  Celine Dion preformed at Caesats Palace for the past five years and made over 400 million dollars. As the fans where cheering and clapped so hard for her. But in the middle of her career she became pregent and she almost bowed out but didn't and glad that she didn't.  They say since March 2003 Celine Dion as played for about 3 million adoring fans.  They also say that she almost seated all of the seats every night.  This is blog entry 7/9

In the past week in a half we have had a lot of snow fall.  I think that there has been a total of about 8 in of snow that has fallen in Harlan.  I push snow so i really like the snow and love when it snows.  I hope to get more snow and let us have a white christmas. This is blog entry 6/9

In the passed weeks there has been alot of stuff that has happened.  It is to bad that this had to be one of them.  At the Westroads mall on one  wednesday afternoon a shooter by the name of Robert Hawkins open fire on people inside of Von Maur.  On the video cameras in the mall it shows hawkins coming in and then leaving again and when he came back in he had a gun inside of his sweat shirt.  As soon as he went into the store he went straight to the elevator and when he got the to the 3rd floor he opened fire killing 8 people and him self. His tragedy had changed my life and also brought me closer to my family.  This is Blog entry 5/9

Tiffany Johnson was remember at her funeral.  She was one of the 4 people killed in the two Colorado shootings.  The shooters name was Matthew John Murray at age 24.  300 people went to the funeral of Matthew but a big 900 people were said to have gone to the services for Tiffany.  Tiffany was working as a hospitality director at the Youth With a Mission training center in Arvada when she was shot.  This women was remembered as the person that loved her friends and family.  When her father spoke in front of the poeple he said instead of saying I love you over the phone say to them face to face.  This is blog number 4/9

On thursday on the LSU campus two people by the name of Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam were shot died in their apartment. Both of them were PH.D canidates and were from India.  They have not found a suspect yet and are still looking.  They got a 911 call at 10:37 that morning and when they got there they said it was a terrible sight.  Both of the men were shot in the head and the room was a big mess.  To tell the people to be careful they sent around a text message telling the students what just happened.  8,000 students signed up to get them and most of them recieved it.  This is 2/9 extra blog entries by Collin Schmidt

In Colorada, Colorada a gunmen opened fire at the New Life Church killing two before getting shot down by the church security guard.  The guy had opened fire in the parking lot and then walked into the Church where he was shot.  The investigators held the people in the church while they did a search to make sure that they was no more killers.  All of this happened on Dec. 9.  This church is one of Colorado's largest with 10,000 members.  They are still trying to figure out if this shooting is related to the shooting 70 miles away in Arvada.  This is my 1/9 blog entries

This game was really hard iI could not beat it.  When I would come out of hiding I would try and run the another rock but by that time they were already trying to get me.  So i tried just running from the truck and it work for a little bit, but when I got closer it said that i was going farther away so i couldn't get to it and then they took me.

Everyday we talk about global warming and it draws me into thinking maybe this is really happening.  In a way it kind of scares me to think about it.  I know that if it did happen it would have little if any affect on me.  Being shown the graphs by the video we watched in class, it scares me even more to look at it.  When you look back to the CO2 levels in the olden days, they were very low.  Now if you look at them they are every high.  Knowing that they did not have cars or anything back then and then we have everything we could think about today.  The graphs shows me that yeah it is us doing something to our world and it is the cars and stuff that is doing it.  There are lots of ways we could stop and prevent it in the future, but with the government not acting now we need to take it as our duty to take care of it.  In ways I think that it is Bush holding us back from having the best fuel efficient cars because he owns a oil company.  There are many things that are also put infront of use that are just saying on them buy me it could save the world someday.  I hope people take action and prevent it from getting worse so that my kids come live in a clean and save world.
